Adventure, Art, and Books: Mount Kigali Twilight Tales

About an hour ago, we marveled at the sunset spectacle from Mount Kigali's viewpoint. Then we sat down and unwrapped gifts from Dereva Hotel and Kivu Park Hotel. The gifts in question are books published by Afrika Nzuri, a platform created to showcase the beauty of Africa. 

I am writing this piece from the splendid garden of Fazenda Sengha, a recreational facility found on the aforementioned mountain. Earlier today, we indulged in adventurous and creative activities offered by our host. 

It's getting late. Darkness has already taken away the view of Nyabarongo River and the surrounding landscapes. On the other side of the mountain, the streetlights of Kigali look like pieces of diamond sprinkled on a dark surface.

It has been another action-packed day at Fazenda Sengha. This memorable outing has been capped by two book club sessions. The sessions are part of the implementation of a promotional campaign dubbed Turning Pages.

Through the Turning Pages initiative, Afrika Nzuri Publishers has staged 92 book club sessions in Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, Togo and Ghana. In partnership with different stakeholders in the tourism industry, we have given away 529 books to the participants of our literary gatherings.

As usual, the books used today are published by our very own Afrika Nzuri Publishers. However, the copies given to the participants are paid for by two reliable partners, namely Dereva Hotel and Kivu Park Hotel.
