While in Nyarugenge, I discovered Kigali’s hiking paradise and stayed at Kanyinya Hills Hotel. The need to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city without leaving the district made this hotel an easy choice.
Kanyinya Hills Hotel is an embodiment of tranquility. It is highly recommended for Kigali dwellers in pursuit of serenity within the vicinity of the city. If you are one of them, you don’t need to fill up the tank and drive for hours. Chances are, you are less than thirty minutes away from an ultimate getaway.
Having participated in a physically taxing activity, I felt the need to rest in a peaceful environment. Surrounded by thick vegetation, birds and baboons, I couldn’t ask for a better locale.
Whilst prioritizing rest and recovery, I needed to plan my upcoming activities, weigh options and make adjustments. Remember, I still have twenty-eight more districts to visit and tons of words to write. It was therefore important to run away from distractions.
This hotel ensures privacy of the esteemed guests. Each room has its own gate and parking space. After two days of total seclusion on the hills, I am ready to proceed to the next district.
Over the next three days, I will be in Kicukiro District. The plan is to visit Agaseke Village and donate books to another youth center. What happens in Kicukiro will be shared right here. Stay tuned.
